We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Kevin Rose as the Founding Director of Teaching and Learning at NursesMC Nashville!
With an extensive background in educational leadership, Mr. Rose brings a wealth of experience in creating and fostering high-performing school cultures, academic excellence, and a student-centered approach to teaching.
Mr. Rose previously served as the Assistant Principal of Instruction and Student Culture at Independence Academy High School in Antioch, TN, where he led the math, school culture, and counseling programs. He also held leadership roles at Teach for America Alabama, Nashville Prep, and Detroit Leadership Academy, where he contributed to developing and enhancing impactful academic programs. Mr. Rose’s experience is grounded in his unwavering passion for ensuring that all students achieve success, particularly through fostering a culture of academic rigor and inclusivity.
In addition to his work in school leadership, Mr. Rose has been instrumental in guiding professional development and supporting teachers in building strong instructional practices. He has a deep commitment to ensuring that students thrive academically and personally, preparing them for success in both higher education and careers.
As the Founding Director of Teaching and Learning, Mr. Rose will oversee the day-to-day operations at NursesMC Nashville, ensuring that our instructional strategies align with our mission to prepare students for careers in nursing and healthcare.
Mr. Rose’s role will involve:
- Implementing and overseeing the school’s instructional programs, ensuring alignment with the NursesMC vision of nurturing character, scholarship, compassion, and professionalism.
- Leading the professional development of educators, setting high expectations, and providing tailored support to foster a strong, cohesive team culture.
- Driving continuous academic improvement through data-driven decision-making, setting academic priorities, and ensuring all students meet their potential.
- Ensuring that students are supported through differentiated instruction and interventions to meet their unique needs.
Mr. Rose expressed his excitement for the role, stating:

I am so excited to serve the students and families of Davidson County to empower the next generation of leaders with the academic and clinical skills that will help them pursue their passions and future careers.”
