We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Lauren Moss, a seasoned nursing professional and educator, will be joining NursesMC Nashville as our Founding Director of Nursing.
With over 14 years of diverse clinical experience and a passion for health education and community engagement, Dr. Moss is the perfect addition to our team. Her extensive background in nursing, education, and community outreach will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of healthcare leaders at NursesMC Nashville.
Dr. Moss currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Belmont University and brings a wealth of knowledge in Women’s Health and Adult Health Nursing. She holds dual certifications as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and Adult Health Nurse Practitioner, and she has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to nursing education, earning accolades such as being named to the 2022 TN Action Coalition Rising Star 40 Under 40 list.
How Dr. Moss Will Lead and Contribute to NursesMC Nashville:
As Director of Nursing, Dr. Moss will lead our nursing program, overseeing the delivery of rigorous healthcare courses, college coursework, healthcare internships, and workforce certificate programs. She will ensure that our students receive the highest quality education while also preparing them for successful careers in nursing and healthcare.
Some of Dr. Moss’s key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the academic team to deliver high-quality nursing and healthcare education, ensuring students meet all academic goals and benchmarks.
- Collaborating with the Student Support Team to ensure that all students receive the guidance and resources they need to succeed.
- Developing and implementing innovative curriculum and training programs that reflect evidence-based practices and national nursing standards.
- Promoting a positive, inclusive, and diverse school culture, ensuring a safe and caring environment for all students and staff.
- Strengthening partnerships with healthcare facilities and industry professionals to provide students with hands-on learning experiences and mentorship.
Dr. Moss’s commitment to compassionate care, leadership, and student-centered learning aligns perfectly with our mission at NursesMC Nashville. Reflecting on her approach to teaching, she shared:
