We are thrilled to announce that Ms. Paula Chavez has joined NursesMC Nashville as our new Director of Business Operations!
Ms. Chavez brings a wealth of experience in school operations, having held leadership roles at both the campus and district levels. Her dedication to improving the educational experience for students, particularly those from underserved backgrounds, aligns perfectly with the mission of NursesMC Nashville.
A native of California and raised in Michigan, Ms. Chavez is a first-generation college graduate from Western Michigan University. Her strong family values, instilled by her Mexican heritage, fuel her commitment to education, hard work, and resilience. Ms. Chavez’s career journey began in 2023 when she moved to Houston, TX, where she began her career in school operations. Over the years, she has worked tirelessly to support students by providing them with access to quality education and the resources they need to succeed in both college and career.
As the Director of Business Operations, Ms. Chavez will support NursesMC Nashville by focusing on the following core aspects of school ops:
- Operations Management: Overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring the school’s services run smoothly and efficiently.
- Financial Management: Managing payroll, procurement, accounts payable/receivable, and ensuring compliance with financial guidelines.
- Human Resources: Maintaining accurate employee records, managing benefits, and supporting staff in achieving a high level of performance.
- Meal Program Coordination: Ensuring our students have access to nutritious meals, in compliance with federal guidelines.
- Vendor Management: Strengthening relationships and ensuring accurate contract execution with service providers.
Ms. Chavez is excited to join the Nashville community and continue making a positive impact in education. She looks forward to exploring the city and bringing the same passion and commitment to her new role at NursesMC Nashville.
