MC stands for Middle College, an innovative educational approach that combines a high school curriculum with college-level courses.

  • To make sure all students succeed, NursesMC Nashville has staff members to support students who have disabilities, are English language learners, or qualify for gifted services. We also have staff to help students who are at-risk of failing or who require behavioral support.
  • Our staff includes a dean of student support, a community health manager, guidance counselors, a social worker, teachers focused on special education and multi-language learners, and professionals focused on improving students’ reading, writing and math skills.

NursesMC does not provide formal ESOL classes during the school day. Our multi-language learner (MLL) teacher supports classroom teachers and serves as a resource for students who are learning English.

  • NursesMC does not review students’ immigration status. Everyone is welcome.
  • That’s okay! The education your child gets at NursesMC Nashville will prepare your child well for whatever healthcare career they choose.
  • Students learn excellent study habits and self-discipline.
  • They graduate with transferable college credits. They can apply these credits to a degree in nursing or another health-related area of study. This shortens the time and cost of earning a college degree.
  • Graduates can also go directly to work using the entry-level workforce credentials they earn in high school.
  • We plan to offer workforce opportunities for enrolled students each summer. These might include internships with our healthcare partners. Students will also be able to earn credits and credentials during the summer months.

  • We do not have sports teams, but we are working with other charter schools that offer sports to open their programs to our students.
